At Atlas, we don’t just understand great audio and video, we’re passionate about it. Even more, we enjoy sharing our passion with others. In fact, that’s what got our business started. It’s also what’s brought us continuing growth.

Atlas opened in 1963 as a record library along Market Street in Singapore. It was a simple shop that could barely contain the enthusiasm of our founder Mr. AB Tien. It was from here that his love for music overflowed into sound advice; and sound advice quite naturally grew to offering premium sound equipment.

Today, Atlas Sound and Vision are privileged partners in growth and are the sole distributors of exclusive brands such as Accuphase, Ad Notam, Bose, Happy Plugs and Loewe. We’re consistently recognised as market leaders in providing premium audio-visual equipment to homes, businesses, houses of worship, offices, restaurants, and various places of attraction. This recognition has allowed us to spread our offices around Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei. While we’ve grown, the same passion and enthusiasm remains. It drives us to bring our customers richer experiences through sight, sound and touch.

ATLAS History

First established in 1963 as a record library in Market Street, ATLAS has evolved into the stalwart of the audio and visual industry in Singapore today. The founder of the company, the late Mr A B Tien, branched out from the record library business into offering advice for sound systems, and eventually to providing premium equipment for quality sound.

With his passing in August 2003, his son Michael Tien took over the helm of the business. Driven by a passionate and intricate knowledge of the industry, the business continued to thrive under the new stewardship and ATLAS expanded into the heartlands.

Today, it asserts its presence with several retail stores conveniently located around Singapore. Not only does ATLAS offer audio visual entertainment to homes, it provides premium audio visual solutions to businesses institutions, houses of worship, offices, restaurants, places of attraction and even spas. With a finger on the pulse of the audio visual industry, ATLAS consistently revolutionizes its business strategies in response to the dynamic market conditions. Despite that, its basic principle remains to advance its leadership in providing quality sound and vision by creating extraordinary and lasting experiences for customers.

Helping the Needy

Since 2009, Atlas has committed to spending one of our business days distributing food, interacting with, and providing household services to needy elderly residents in Toa Payoh, Singapore.



Charity Partner

Atlas consistently supports its partner charity, Assisi Hospice, through a variety of fund raising activities.



Charity Auctions

Atlas provides premium AV products for a charity auction. All proceeds of the auction go to the Hospice, and every dollar donated by the public is match by Atlas dollar-for-dollar.



Trade-In Promotions

During special sales that offer large trade-in discounts, customers can enjoy as much as $650 off a new sound system. Most of the old systems brought in are refurbished and resold, with proceeds donated to the Hospice.



Donation Drives

Discounts on products are offered in conjunction with donations to the Hospice. Through this promotion we are able to play an active role in promoting the Assisi Hospice to our customers.



The Musical Experience


Field Trip Experience

In a two-hour visit to our showroom at Millenia Walk, Singapore students are given a multi-image presentation; invited to investigate sound using an oscilloscope; and allowed the experience of playing folk music, using authentic instruments, in a mini-performance.



In-Class Curriculum

These are 6 to 8 sessions. 1.5 hours each and held in a classroom facility. Each session is designed to provide students with a cooperative, inquiry-based approach to learning and experiencing music and audio.



This is a Free Programme

The Atlas Musical Experience is genuinely FREE. Nothing attached. This is our community programme. A way of giving back and contributing to the holistic development of our youth.

While the field trip is offered to any school or organisation interested, the classroom sessions are currently open only to select neighbourhood schools.

Job Description

Atlas is looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for customer service to join our Care Centre. As a Customer Relations Officer (CRO), you will be the first point of contact whenever our customer call in to enquire about our products and services.

Your Day to Day

As a CRO:

  1. Interacts with company’s customers to provide them with information to address inquiries regarding products and services.
  2. Provide assistance and resolve customers feedback based on the company’s guidelines and policies
  3. Solve customer issues by offering solutions over the phone
  4. Ensure customer satisfaction for the call centre
  5. Advocate the company’s products and services
  6. Provide accurate product or service information to assist customers in making their buying decision
  7. Help generate sales leads
  8. Being a custodian of the company main phone line, help to transfer customers’ call to the right department
  9. Processing new client accounts, maintaining customer accounts, implementing changes to existing accounts, and filing documents and other paperwork

 

What you bring to the team:

  1. Patience, persuasive and possess great listening skills

  3. Strong communication skills that let you converse as freely and comfortably with customers.

  1. Track and ensure timely and accurate updating of accounting transactions into the accounting system.
  2. Preparing cheques and GIRO transactions.
  3. Payment to overseas creditor
  4. Ensure documents received are filed, and that all required filing is up to date.
  5. AP aging and banks reconciliation
  6. AP forecast for general expenses, reconciliation forecast.
  7. Any other ad hoc work related to accounting and finance

 

What you bring to the team:

  1. Possess a Diploma in accountancy, business studies or related field
  2. At least 1-2 years of relevant working experience

 

Additional Requirements: 

  1. Good spoken and written English
  2. A team player with good working attitude and able to work independently
  3. Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Knowledge of SAP will be advantageous

Broziet

This restaurant and bar required a multiple-zone background music system. They required a system that could deliver high quality audio in a relatively high ambient noise environment. Using various elements of Bose Professional units, we assembled a sleek and reliable sound system that is able to reproduce rich and high quality music. With versatile mounting options specified for unique environments, we were able to create a system that enveloped the area with sound while still allowing for conversations to proceed without strain. Of course all this is backed with Sovis’s exceptional customer service and product knowledge.

The Westin, Singapore

Top-end rooms such as the Presidential and Harbour View Suites needed state-of-the-art sound and TV systems. Sleek technology with simplicity of usage for guests was a must. While an integrated audio and visual system was also needed for optimal coverage across all rooms. Sovis met these needs by assembling high-performance audio and visual products which were fused into a user friendly and reliable system. Premium elements from three brands – Bose, Loewe, and Ad Notam — were integrated with a Crestron automation wall panel system and made highly accessible via an Apple iPad interface.
