The IC3-AW in-ceiling speaker offers trademark MartinLogan sound in areas where humidity prevents installation of conventional speakers. The conformal coating applied to the crossover maximises water-resistant properties and the grille is specially coated to add material stability during extended periods of exposure to moisture.

Solutions Meet Performance
Manufactured to the highest standards of quality and performance, the new Installer Series by MartinLogan is a line of affordable, high-performance, ultra-low profile custom installation in-ceiling and in-wall speakers. Featuring titanium dome tweeters and mineral-filled polypropylene drivers, each model comes with a remarkably robust mounting-lock system and paintable micro-perf, bezel-free grilles for a nearly invisible installation. Two all-weather models extend usage to high humidity areas. Pre-installation brackets are available for all models and square griles are available for select in-ceiling models.
IP54 Certified All-Weather
The IC8-AW and IC3-AW are designed specifically for all-weather applications and feature numerous design considerations ideal for outdoor and other high-moisture applications, such as covered patios and bathrooms.
Each crossover has a conformal coating to maximise water-resistant properties and special assembly techniques ensure that all driver attachment points on the face of the speakers are completely sealed to remove the risk of moisture penetration.
Titanium Dome Tweeters and Poly Cone Woofers
Titanium dome tweeters used throughout the Installer Series are ferrofluid damped and cooled for smooth high-frequency performance with amazing clarity across a wide listening area. Mineral-filled polypropylene cone bass/midrange drivers feature robust computer-optimised ferrite magnets and high-power motor structures to deliver detailed midrange performance and clean, extended bass response.
Micro-Perforated Grilles
Installer Series speakers feature ultra-low profile, paintable, micro-perforated grilles with no visible bezel for a near invisible integration into any wall or ceiling. A series or powerful magnets hidden inside the speaker quickly secure grilles into place, reducing the risk of warping or damage during installation.
To match modern aesthetics, optional square grilles are available for most in-ceiling models (excluding all-weather versions).
Precision Crossovers & Spring-Loaded Binding Posts
Carefully hand-built using only the finest polyester capacitors and air-core coils, Installer Series crossovers employ MartinLogan's proprietary Vojtko topology for vanishingly low distortion and seamless driver integration. This precision-tuned network preserves even the most microscopic sonic nuances while handling the full dynamics of any source. Spring-loaded binding posts feature a larger wire access hole and connect via banan plug, pin, or 12AWG bare wire.

Solidly built! Looks good with the KEF R3 and seems very stable . Since it was designed specifically for the R3 the mounting screws adds the robustness and stability. Definitely a good addition.
One of my best investments to have made this purchase! Straight out of the box was a “WOW!” The channel separations and layering of instruments were all so revealing and pairs perfectly with KEF R3 Meta!

Sounded good before run in
Sounds great, works perfectly with my devices through AirPlay, and game consoles through Toslink via an HDMI splitter. App is very convenient as well, well designed and a joy to use for any adjustments.
The Bluesound Node Icon has been excellent performer all round. Very responsive to all my music streaming services, including the USB Thumbdrive I connected via the back of the unit.
I am so glad that Bluesound has retained its touch sensitive feature on the top, now I don’t get any fingerprint smudges all over the main screen which can be very irritating to look at. Its proximity sensor works great too.
Sounds great and delightful on my system which comprises a Rega Brio integrated amplifier and a pair Klipsch horn speakers.
