This innovative piece of audio technology provides incredible detail, precise clarity, clean output, and high efficiency in a small but mighty package. Pairing this tweeter with lightweight woven fibreglass woofers means that Motion CI delivers a clean and balanced sound that is perfectly suited for any application.
Whether you listen to music, movies, or a little bit of everything, Motion CI gives you a true high-end audio experience at an affordable price. To round out the assortment, pre-construction brackets are available for all models, and in-ceiling models have square grilles and retrofittable back enclosures available separately.
The Sound of Invisibility: Folded Motion® Tweeters
MartinLogan's signature Folded Motion Tweeters utilise an extremely low-mass diaphragm that "squeezes" air, thus requiring significantly less excursion than the typical 1-inch dome tweeter. Its folded design allows for a much larger surface area (compared to a regular 1-inch dome tweeter), controlled dispersion characteristics, and vanishingly low distortion. It's a miracle of audio engineering that delivers much of the high-frequency detail, speed, and response of a large, dynamic electrostatic panel in a small space.
This thin-film transducer design packs all the accuracy and delicacy of an electrostatic panel into a small room. Folding the dramatically lightweight film into an accordion-like structure increases the surface area, giving Folded Motion Tweeters 8 to 10 times greater surface area than typical tweeters.
This ideal combination of light and large produces superior accuracy, extended frequency bandwidth and higher output capability. All with a faster, more efficient transient response, and virtually zero distortion. Thanks to these characteristics, the Folded Motion Tweeter design can mimic the performance of a large electrostatic panel in the confines of a more traditional loudspeaker enclosure.

Motion CI in-ceiling speakers use the FMT to project sound into specific areas of the room, which makes them ideal for object-oriented systems like Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Auro3D. The film's audio effects work in sync with the visual elements, so sound comes from all directions — around and above the listener.
The FMT directs sound precisely into your listening area, ensuring height and in-wall channels stay clear and powerful, even across distance. Hand-Selected Components
In designing each crossover topology, MartinLogan takes the drivers themselves into consideration. Carefully selected drivers, engineered for specific performance characteristics, are kept within their optimal frequency range by the custom Vojtko Crossover.
Each crossover is handcrafted using exceptional polypropylene and polyester capacitors, custom wound and large steel laminate low-DCR inductors, and double thick PCBs. This precision-tuned network preserves even the most mocroscopic sonic nuances while handling the full dyanmics of any source. It's a recipe for vanishingly low distortion and seamless driver integration.

Solidly built! Looks good with the KEF R3 and seems very stable . Since it was designed specifically for the R3 the mounting screws adds the robustness and stability. Definitely a good addition.

Sounded good before run in
Sounds great, works perfectly with my devices through AirPlay, and game consoles through Toslink via an HDMI splitter. App is very convenient as well, well designed and a joy to use for any adjustments.
The Bluesound Node Icon has been excellent performer all round. Very responsive to all my music streaming services, including the USB Thumbdrive I connected via the back of the unit.
I am so glad that Bluesound has retained its touch sensitive feature on the top, now I don’t get any fingerprint smudges all over the main screen which can be very irritating to look at. Its proximity sensor works great too.
Sounds great and delightful on my system which comprises a Rega Brio integrated amplifier and a pair Klipsch horn speakers.
